The Galaxy S26 Ultra, however, is expected to launch with a quad-camera setup, placing one sensor and the LED flash outside the module, unlike the standard and Plus variants. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Real-life hands-on images leaked

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to debut its new Privacy Display, a screen technology designed to keep content hidden from side viewers. First revealed in 2024, the display controls how light passes through the panel, making it unreadable to anyone not directly in front. Early leaks show it in action, and reports suggest the feature will soon appear on other Android flagships. Digital Chat Station claims Chinese brands like Xiaomi could adopt similar "hardware-level" privacy screens by September, with Honor, Oppo, and OnePlus possibly following. Samsung says the display can selectively black out parts of the screen when seen from an angle, protecting personal content without affecting visibility for the user.

Is Samsung launching Galaxy S26 Edge instead of S26 Plus?

Samsung's plans for its 2026 flagship lineup may not be as drastic as earlier rumours suggested. While there was speculation that the company could drop the Galaxy S26 Plus in favour of a slimmer S26 Edge, fresh reports indicate the Plus model is expected to continue, possibly influenced by the muted response to the Galaxy S25 Edge last year.

Leaked Galaxy S26 Plus specifications (rumoured):

Display: 6.7-inch screen

Cameras: Upgraded 50MP ultra-wide sensor

Processor & RAM: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (US/China) with 12GB RAM

Design: Slim profile at 7.35mm thickness

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 series launching tonight: What is expected

Samsung's next Galaxy Buds 4 series, which is expected to include the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro, could bring head gesture controls that let users accept or reject calls and respond to Bixby with simple nods or shakes.

While most specifications are still under wraps, leaks hint at a redesigned look with flatter stems and broader earbuds, offered in black and white options. The charging case is said to feature a USB Type-C port and a physical pairing button, with Samsung confirming that the new earbuds will be sold in India via Amazon and its own online store.

Galaxy–Apple file sharing may finally be coming

A new rumour suggests the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is running One UI 8.5, could support direct file sharing with iPhones, iPads, and Macs. This is something which Android and Apple users have long been locked out of.

The Galaxy users may now be able to send files to Apple devices if AirDrop is set to 'Everyone,' while files coming from iPhones or Macs could appear through a Quick Share toggle on Samsung phones. If this feature makes it to the final release, it would quietly soften the long-standing wall between Samsung and Apple ecosystems, making cross-platform sharing far less awkward than it is today. More details are expected at the Galaxy Unpacked event, where One UI 8.5 is likely to be officially discussed.

Leaks suggest Galaxy S26 series battery life may take a hit

Fresh leaks suggest Samsung may be sticking with the same battery capacities for the Galaxy S26 lineup, but EU regulatory labels by YTECHB point to a possible downgrade in battery longevity. The documents indicate the batteries are rated for about 1,200 charge cycles before health falls below 80 per cent, compared to a 2,000-cycle rating on the Galaxy S25 series, though an A-grade energy efficiency rating could help offset wear over time. But, this is not officially confirmed and users are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt.
