Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch the Vivo X Fold 6 in China by the end of June. The expected launch window aligns closely with that of the Vivo X Fold 5, which was also unveiled around the same time last year.

In a recent post on Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed key specifications of the upcoming foldable. According to the leak, the device may arrive with a larger battery, upgraded cameras, and MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset.

Vivo X Fold 6 expected specs and features

According to the tipster, the Vivo X Fold 6 will be powered by MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset. This would mark a notable shift for the X Fold lineup, which has traditionally relied on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. The new chip is expected to bring improvements in performance, efficiency and AI capabilities.

The foldable is also tipped to feature a massive 7,000mAh battery, which would be among the largest batteries ever seen in a book-style foldable smartphone. Despite the larger battery, Vivo is reportedly aiming to maintain a slim and lightweight design. Wireless charging support is also expected to be included.

On the camera front, the Vivo X Fold 6 may arrive with a 200-megapixel primary camera paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Reports also suggest the device could feature dual 20-megapixel selfie cameras, one on the cover display and another on the inner foldable screen.

Previous leaks have further claimed that the phone may feature an 8-inch-class foldable display with a 2K resolution, alongside a secondary outer screen measuring around 6.5 inches. The device is also expected to offer improved water resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.

Digital Chat Station additionally claims that Vivo will continue using its signature circular camera module on the rear panel. Prototype units are said to feature more rounded display corners, while white remains one of the key colours being tested internally.

Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed this information. So, just like all leaks, readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt.
