Home buyers vs builders? Who will protect interest of buyers?

Many home buyers protested outside the office of Jaypee builders in Noida over the delay in the possession of flats on Sunday while they claimed that they had made the payments for houses several years back, and are yet to get them.

This protest is not an isolated one. There have been many incidents earlier also where the builders took the money but never gave houses to the buyers.

In the protest today, buyers claimed that they have even paid more than 90 per cent of the payments but the flats are still not ready. One of the protesting buyer, Parmanand Hans, said, "They only give assurance, neither they allot flats nor do they return our money."
