Gujarat man offers to deliver free food to Covid-19 patients throughout quarantine. Viral post

As India witnessed a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases owing to the second wave of the pandemic, a story of a Gujarat man who has been helping the needy during the crisis has gone viral on social media.

This man received a whole lot of love from the internet after he offered to deliver food, free of cost, at the doorstep of patients suffering from Covid-19 all throughout their quarantine period. All they have to do is send him a direct message on Twitter.

Shubhal Shah, a resident of Vadodara in Gujarat, said, "#Vadodara We are here with you in this Covid crisis. If your family is suffering from Covid-19, we will deliver hygienic lunch and dinner at your door step, free of cost for entire quarantine period."

“We are not into any name, publicity or photographs. Please DM,” he added.

The post has gone viral on social media and garnered more than 9,800 likes. People praised Shubhal Shah for his selfless service, while some even offered to help Shah and his team to provide food to those in need.

That’s such a noble deed!

Over 1.25 crore people in India have been infected with Covid-19, with the active caseload crossing the 7-lakh mark. The doubling time of Covid-19 cases is down to 115.4 days, the Union Health Ministry had said last week.

Eight states, including Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, have emerged as major contributors to the daily caseload.
