In a video posted on Instagram, Shailly Sharma Bhatnagar recounted what happened on IndiGo flight 6E 840 on April 16. As the aircraft prepared for departure, a young passenger suddenly experienced a serious health issue, turning a routine take-off into a tense situation.
“Hi guys, I would like to take a moment to appreciate the crew and captain of IndiGo flight 6E 840 from Bangalore to Delhi,” she said in the clip, describing the incident. According to her, the response from the airline staff was immediate and well-coordinated.
A doctor on board stepped in right away to assist the passenger, while the crew worked quickly to manage the situation inside the cabin. From alerting ground support to ensuring space for medical attention, the team moved efficiently to stabilise the situation before the aircraft departed.
In her caption, Shailly wrote, “Just as the flight was about to take off, a young passenger suddenly faced a critical medical emergency. In that tense moment, the IndiGo crew responded with incredible calm, speed, and professionalism.” She added that the passenger was promptly moved out of the aircraft and shifted to an ambulance for urgent care.
“It was a powerful reminder that in moments of crisis, humanity, care, and collective responsibility truly matter. I sincerely hope the passenger is safe and recovering well,” she said.
