The United States has kicked off its Freedom250 celebrations in India with a vibrant and eye-catching initiative, decorated Trump-themed auto-rickshaws rolling through New Delhi, marking 250 years of American independence on July 4th.
Sergio Gor, the US Ambassador to India and Special Envoy to South and Central Asia shared a post on X, announcing the launch of the Freedom 250 celebrations from the capital.
The initiative featured specially designed auto-rickshaws wrapped in visuals of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and iconic American imagery, which will now be seen across the city as part of the campaign.
According to the ambassador’s post, the initiative was not just about commemorating America’s 250th year of independence, but also about celebrating the strength and dynamism of the India-United States relations. The autos will travel across the city, symbolising the journey of the Freedom250 campaign as it expands throughout India in the coming months.
He wrote, "As we celebrate America’s 250th, we also honour the strength and dynamism of the US-India partnership. Stay tuned as #Freedom250 travels across India," implying that this was just the beginning.
