In the clip, she was seen drawing the familiar tic-tac-toe grid directly onto the glass of the aquarium while her curious axolotl slowly swam closer, seemingly ready to participate.
She kicked off the game by marking an X inside one of the squares. Moments later, the axolotl adorably nudged its head toward a different section of the grid, appearing to indicate where it wanted her to place the O.
The unusual duo continued the game move by move, with the woman carefully following her pet’s choices as the axolotl repeatedly pointed its tiny face toward different quadrants of the board.
After what turned into a surprisingly tense and rather adorable round, the little aquatic player emerged victorious, cleverly managing to line up its marks and win the game, leaving its human opponent thoroughly defeated.
