A viral post detailing how a woman was left stranded despite reaching her boarding point on time has drawn widespread attention, and prompted a response from the companies involved.

Asmeet Kaur took to Instagram to recount her experience with Nuego and RedBus. According to her post, she had arrived at the designated boarding point on time, only to discover that the bus was stationed 10–15 minutes away at a petrol pump, without any prior communication.

“I was at the correct boarding point ON TIME, and your bus was randomly waiting 10–15 mins away at some petrol pump with ZERO intimation. Because of YOUR mismanagement, I missed my bus,” she wrote.

Kaur further alleged that the situation was made worse by the conductor’s behaviour. “And the conductor? Rude, arrogant, and absolutely unapologetic. Instead of helping, he just said ‘not my fault,’” she added, calling the experience especially distressing as a solo female traveller stranded late at night.

The incident, she claimed, was not isolated. “And this isn’t even the first time — clearly a pattern,” her post read, raising concerns about recurring service gaps. She also pointed out the double standards faced by passengers: “When YOU are late, it’s ‘adjust.’ When a passenger needs 5 mins (because of YOUR mistake), you leave them behind.”

Several other Instagram users pointed out that they faced similar situations where they had to miss their scheduled bus due to the management’s fault.

Following the backlash and widespread sharing of her post, Kaur later updated that both companies had responded. She confirmed receiving a full refund and assurances of better staff training. “Redbus and nuego both have coordinated with me and given me a full fledged refund and promised to make their staff more aware and respectful,” she wrote, thanking users for amplifying her voice.
