Ground report from warzone as Israel-Hamas conflict enters Day 9

Israeli forces, including mechanised forces and tanks, are preparing for a ground assault on the Gaza Strip to fight Hamas. They are aiming to create a smokescreen to create confusion and quickly move forward. According to Israeli sources, there are multiple lines of defence and offence set up, and forces are ready to move forward on multiple fronts. Israeli forces are carefully aiming and commencing airstrikes and bombings to ensure there are no Hamas fighters on high buildings and on the ground. There are also efforts to eliminate Hamas' underground tunnels. Hamas fighters have access to anti-tank guided missiles and shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles, which they can use to target Israeli armoured vehicles, tanks, and helicopters. The war has already resulted in hundreds of deaths, including many children. Furthermore, Hamas is allegedly preventing civilians from leaving the Gaza Strip, using them as human shields. Meanwhile, Israeli forces and citizens are being evacuated from areas in direct line of Hamas rocket fire.
