Speaking exclusively to India Today on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis, Ambassador of Poland to India Adam Burakowski said that Russia would understand that conflict is not in their interest and both NATO and Poland stand by Ukraine.
"Negotiations are the only way out. Ukraine is a sovereign nation and can decide if it wants to join NATO or not. Ukraine is also very resource-rich, but it belongs to Ukraine and not Russia. Situation in the Donbass region is really tense. NATO and Poland stand by Ukraine. Ukraine determined to resist Russia," he said.
On being asked about sending forces to Ukraine, Adam Burakowski said, "Ukraine is not a NATO ally, so sending forces is not possible, but we are helping with all the weapons and military assistance."
