Why Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft model has been grounded across the globe? 

On March 10, an Ethiopian Boeing 737-800 Max flight to Nairobi crashed with 149 passengers and eight crew members between Addis Ababa and Kenya's capital, killing all 157 on board.

Following the crash, a growing number of airlines and countries around the world have grounded Boeing 737 Max jets or banned them from their airspace.

Seventeen Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft were grounded by India. Out of 17, SpiceJet grounded 12 Boeing 737 Max 8 planes while Jet Airways grounded five.
