Bengaluru-based EV startup Simple Energy has announced the price of its newest electric scooter, the Simple Ultra. The scooter is priced at Rs 2,34,999 (ex-showroom) and is now available for purchase, with deliveries already underway across India.

Positioned as a long-range performance-focused offering, the Simple Ultra claims an IDC-certified range of 400km, making it one of the longest-range electric scooters currently available in the Indian market. The model was first unveiled earlier this year as part of the company’s Gen 2 lineup, with bookings opening shortly after.

At the heart of the scooter is a 6.5kWh battery pack, enabling both extended range and strong performance. The Ultra can reach a top speed of 115kmph and accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in just 2.77 seconds, placing it among the quickest electric scooters in the country. It is also touted as the second-fastest model in the brand’s lineup, sitting just below the Simple One (5kWh variant).

In terms of features, the scooter comes equipped with four levels of traction control and a seven-inch rider display, aimed at enhancing both safety and usability.

Commenting on the development, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of the company, said the Ultra has been engineered to deliver both high performance and long-distance usability without compromise. He added that with deliveries now in progress, the company is focused on scaling “anxiety-free electric mobility” through its growing retail footprint.

Simple Energy currently operates close to 70 touchpoints across major cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai, and plans to expand further into markets such as Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar in the near future.

The Ultra becomes the fourth product action from the company in 2026, following the launch of the updated Simple One Gen 2 and Simple OneS Gen 2 earlier this year, as the brand continues to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly evolving electric two-wheeler segment.
