In a shocking case of animal cruelty, a man brutally assaulted a pet dog in Bengaluru for barking at his wife. The CCTV footage of the inhumane attack has gone viral.
The incident took place on Sunday after Scooby, a pet dog belonging to Anjinappa, barked at neighbour Gopi's wife while she was returning home. This triggered an immediate confrontation between the two families.
However, matters took a turn for the worse in the evening.
At around 8:30 pm, Gopi came outside Anjinappa's house with a wooden log and began hitting the pet dog.
The CCTV footage showed that Scooby was hit multiple times on the head, which caused the pet dog to collapse.
Hearing the dog's desperate cries, two members of the family came out of their house to see the dog lying unconscious. One family member also brought water for Scooby while another kept checking on Scooby.
Following the brutal attack, an FIR was filed at Madanayakanahalli Police Station. Local police officials are investigating the matter further.
