Delhi fire tragedy: Hotel owner Lavkesh Bajaj arrested

The owner of Delhi's Malviya Nagar hotel, Lavkesh Bajaj, has been arrested from Saket in connection with a fire at his hotel that claimed 21 lives on Wednesday. Following the incident, severe safety lapses were discovered at the property. The establishment had permission to operate only six rooms but had illegally constructed 25 rooms. The accused, who was absconding before being detained, is currently undergoing interrogation. Investigations reveal that the accused operates multiple properties in the vicinity, including two other hotels functioning without a No Objection Certificate.
