Delhi heatwave: Traffic cops get 'AC' helmets, portable fans as temps cross 45°C

The national capital is currently grappling with a severe summer heatwave, with temperatures soaring past forty-five degrees Celsius. To help keep the city moving and provide relief to those working outdoors, Delhi Traffic Police personnel are being equipped with trial-based air-conditioned helmets and portable fans. These traffic cops spend long hours on duty under the blazing summer sun, managing vehicular movement across the city. The introduction of these AC helmets aims to offer them some respite from the extreme heat. This trial initiative is designed to ensure that the police personnel can comfortably continue to monitor traffic and ensure that car drivers do not violate rules despite the harsh weather conditions.
