The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) administration has taken serious cognizance of alleged 'objectionable and provocative' slogans raised by a group of students from the JNU Students Union. The university's security branch has filed an official complaint with the Delhi Police, requesting the registration of an FIR. The administration stated that 'raising of such slogans is wholly inconsistent with democratic dissent and violates the code of JNU'. The administration has also issued a strong statement asking students to desist from such activities, warning that they could create disharmony on the campus.
