Video: Fire engulfs 12th floor of Noida high-rise, residents evacuated

A massive fire broke out on the 12th floor of a high rise apartment at the Ivy County society in Sector 74, Noida. The incident was reported around 7 am through a PCR call made by society members. At least five fire tenders from the Noida Fire Department were deployed to the spot to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby units. While residents from adjacent flats have been evacuated, it remains unclear if anyone is trapped inside the affected flat. Visuals from the scene show thick, dark smoke billowing from the balcony of the high-rise building. It is suspected that a short circuit in an air conditioning unit might have triggered the fire, given recent similar incidents in the area, though the exact cause is yet to be officially ascertained. The society, inaugurated about two years ago, is a newly developed residential complex. Rescue and firefighting operations are currently underway to ensure the safety of all residents.
