Threats of sanctions will boomerang under PM Modi's leadership: Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said under his leadership any threats of sanctions would boomerang.
Speaking at a session titled ‘Minority Matters: How to Break out of the Vote Bank Mould’ on Day 2 of India Today Conclave East 2022, Naqvi gave his perspective on pressing matters like the Nupur Sharma controversy, the Udaipur beheading and the case against Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair.
The Union minister alleged that the Opposition has been trying to capitalise on these issues.
“The Opposition has gone from Modi-bashing to India-bashing,” he said, before referring to the hijab row in Karnataka. “It was a planned conspiracy. Pakistan, Al-Qaeda, Taliban waded in. I am disappointed that the top two leaders in the grand old party [Congress] supported it.”
