Indian pregnant women more willing to take coronavirus vaccine; Maharashtra Covid cases surge; more

Indian pregnant woman are more willing to take Covid vaccine than their counterparts in other parts of the world, according to a study by researchers at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

The vaccine acceptance in India as well as Phillipnes was above 60 per cent among pregnant women. However, the vaccine acceptance was below 45 pregnant among pregnant women in Russia and US.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra continues to remain the worst-affected state in the country due to coronavirus pandemic with highest number of Covid cases.

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders.
