Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed rock band Guns N' Roses to Guwahati for a concert scheduled on November 17, 2026. In his social media post, Sarma said the band's visit comes after the success of Post Malone's concert and linked it to Assam's growing profile as a live entertainment destination.
Sarma emphasised that the event would bring one of the world's most iconic rock bands to Assam and that visitors travelling to the state for the concert would experience its hospitality, culture and vibrancy. He also highlighted that such events would generate new opportunities for both tourism and the local economy.
In his X post, Sarma wrote, "Delighted to welcome the legendary Guns N' Roses to Guwahati on November 17, 2026, bringing one of the world's most iconic rock bands to Assam (sic)."
He added, "Following the historic success of Post Malone's concert, Assam's rise as a global live entertainment destination continues to gather momentum. As fans travel from across India and beyond, they will experience Assam's hospitality, culture and vibrancy, while creating new opportunities for tourism and the local economy (sic)."
The American rock veterans are set to perform at the NICE Grounds in Bengaluru on November 14, followed by a performance at the Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati. The concerts are part of the Bandland on Tour series, produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live. Tickets for both shows go on general sale at 11 am on June 9, 2026, via BookMyShow, with Nightrain Fan Club members enjoying exclusive pre-sale access from 5 pm on June 8 until 10 am on June 9.
The bandmates—including frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan—previously performed in India in May 2025, where they delivered a three-hour, nostalgia-filled set in Mumbai. Their past shows in the country back in 2012 featured stops in Bengaluru and Mumbai, with the Sikkim-origin group Girish & The Chronicles serving as the opening act. During these performances, audiences were treated to timeless hits like November Rain, Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine, and their famous rendition of Bob Dylan’s Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.
More details on Rock N' Roses' Guwahati concert are yet to be announced.
