Sonu Nigam surprises fans playing his song in their car ahead of Rotterdam concert
Sonu Nigam shared a video of his fans in a nearby car playing Yeh Ishq Ishq as they drove to his Rotterdam concert and surprised them with a wave.
Singer Sonu Nigam shared a video of fans listening to his song in a car en route to his Rotterdam concert and surprised them with a wave.
The video begins with Sonu seated in his car, with his mic and earpiece strapped in. He smiles as he realises that the car a couple of metres ahead is playing Yeh Ishq Ishq from Dhurandhar (2025).
"Mera gaana sun rahe hain, usko pata nahi ki peechhe main khada hua hoon kyunki humare show pe aa raha hai na ye (They are listening to my song. They don't realise I am right behind them. They are going for my show)," he said, before breaking into an impromptu performance of the song himself.
Sonu then asks his driver to move closer to the fans' car and rolls down his window. As the fans spot him, they exchange waves and smiles. "So sweet," the singer adds, as the video ends with a view of the concert stadium.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, Sonu wrote, "When you see your concert has already begun for your audiences in their car (sic)." Fans reacted to the video in the comments section. Comedian Tanmay Bhat wrote, “So fun.” A fan wrote, “Sir aapko sun ne ke liye bhi warm-up karna padta hai (One needs to warm up to listen to you) (sic)."
Sonu recently shared a poignant tribute on Instagram, following the death of legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Expressing his deep sorrow, the singer wrote an emotional message to honour the legendary vocalist’s memory and legacy.
Sonu and Asha Bhosle worked together on several memorable songs. In 2022, the duo collaborated on the patriotic Har Ghar Tiranga Anthem for Independence Day.
