Singer Sonu Nigam reacted after a fan suddenly rushed onto the stage during his live concert in Kolhapur and tried to touch his feet mid-performance. Sharing a video of the incident on social media, the singer questioned why audience members engage in such risky behaviour, while also revealing that he managed to handle the situation calmly this time.
The singer shared the video on Instagram and wrote, “Kyon Pitne vaale Kaam karte ho audience?" Is baar toh bachaa liya, har baar nahi bacha paunga (Why do the audience do things that can get them beaten up? I managed to save you this time, but I may not be able to save you every time) (sic)," along with facepalm emojis.
The incident took place during the singer’s concert in Kolhapur, Maharashtra on May 10, 2026. While Sonu was performing on stage, a fan unexpectedly jumped onto the stage, forcing the singer to briefly pause his act as security personnel rushed in.
Instead of reacting angrily, Sonu handled the situation with humour and composure. Looking at the fan, he said, “Waah, shabaash,” leaving the audience amused.
As security began escorting the fan away, Sonu intervened and surprisingly invited him back onto the stage. He then gave the fan a chance to sing in front of the crowd. The fan performed a line from Sonu Nigam’s popular track Chori Kiya Re Jiya, turning the tense moment into a light-hearted interaction.
After the brief performance, the fan left the stage while Sonu appeared amused and slightly stunned by the entire episode. Despite the disruption, the singer continued with the concert smoothly.
The video of the moment has since gone viral on social media, with many fans praising Sonu Nigam for staying calm and handling the unexpected interruption gracefully.
