Desi Bling trailer: Tejasswi-Karan caught in Dubai's high-society drama

The trailer for Desi Bling places actors Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash at the centre of a reality series set in Dubai's elite Indian social circuit. Released by Netflix on Monday, it showcases private jets, yacht parties, designer wardrobes, flashy cars and wealthy personalities. Behind the polished image, the series will focus on emotional strain, shifting loyalties and relationship drama.

Positioned as a spin-off of Dubai Bling, the show is set to premiere on May 20 on Netflix. The trailer also offers brief glimpses of actors Tiger Shroff, Shilpa Shetty, Sunny Leone and Vivek Oberoi. However, much of the attention remains on the changing dynamics within the group, especially those involving Karan and Tejasswi.

What to expect from Desi Bling

"Global desis are ruling the world, and in Dubai, they have made it really big," Tejasswi says at the start of the trailer. It then introduces the people in this world and the ways in which they display their wealth, from luxury cars and gold to skincare. The tone is set quickly. There are lavish parties, polished looks and high-stakes friendships, but the trailer makes it clear that the drama will not stay on the surface.

Tejasswi, dressed in a blingy gold outfit, shouts at Karan in one scene, "If you have an issue with me, just tell me". To which, he retorts, "I don't have an issue with you."

In an official statement, Karan spoke about joining the show and said, "Desi Bling gave Tejasswi and me a chance to step into a world that's completely different from anything we've done before. Yes, there's glamour and luxury, but what really surprised us were the relationships, personalities, and dynamics within this circle. It's exciting, unpredictable, and very real in many ways."

Tejasswi said, "This show has been such a special journey for me. It's a beautiful window into the glistening world of Dubai, but at the same time, it has all the elements of classic desi masala. Also, it's very different from anything I've done in the past because rarely do you see such a blend of reality with fiction." She added that the series has emotions, relationships, and drama, all of which are bound to keep the viewers hooked.

Karan and Tejasswi, who met on Bigg Boss 15, have been together since 2021 and are also seen on Laughter Chefs Season 3.

Apart from the couple, the cast includes real estate entrepreneurs Satish Sanpal and Tabinda Sanpal, businessman Rizwan Sajan with Adel and Sana Sajan, entrepreneur Dyuti Parruck and Iryna Kinakh, Pamela Serena, sisters Alizey and Lailli Mirza, and astrologer Janvee Gaur.
