Saif Ali Khan's cop drama Kartavya is finally set to premiere on Netflix. Shah Rukh Khan shared the release date of the drama backed by his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.

The Saif Ali Khan starrer Kartavya, directed by Pulkit, is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15. Shah Rukh Khan, whose banner, Red Chillies Entertainment, has produced the film, shared the news with fans on Thursday.

Kartavya tells the story of a police officer pushed to his limits while carrying out his duty in a morally complex world. Sharing the release date of the film on X, SRK wrote, "Kartavya ke iss chakravyuh mein, har faisla ek imtihaan hoga (In this labyrinth of duty, every decision will be a test). Watch Kartavya, out 15 May, only on Netflix.

An official announcement about the release date of the film, written and directed by Pulkit, was made earlier the same day by Netflix, with a special poster that featured Saif in a uniform standing in a field with a bruised face.

Kartavya follows a police officer, played by Saif, as he navigates rising threats while grappling with the weight of his duty and the safety of his family. As the lines between right and wrong begin to blur, the film unfolds as a layered exploration of power, guilt and the consequences of silence, inviting audiences to question morality and the true cost of justice.

The film is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainments. With its rooted setting, layered storytelling, and powerful performances, Kartavya offers a compelling look at the fragile balance between duty and personal truth, leaving audiences to confront the weight of every decision.

Alongside Saif, the film also stars Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Manish Chaudhari and Saurabh Dwivedi in key roles. The film will stream on Netflix from 15 May.
