Ssunita Ahuja, Krushna-Kashmera reunion on Laughter Chefs 3 ends 14-year feud. Watch

Actor Govinda's wife Ssunita Ahuja, in an upcoming episode of Laughter Chefs 3, shared an emotional moment with Krushna Abhishek and his wife Kashmera Shah . A promo shows Krushna rushing to hug Ssunita as she arrives on the set.

The reunion comes after years of public tension between the families. After the shoot, Ssunita and Krushna spoke about the meeting, but described it in slightly different ways. Ssunita said she had to make an appearance for work, while Krushna said the meeting helped break the ice after a long period of distance.

Decoding the promo

In the promo shared by Colors TV, Ssunita enters the set and calls out to Krushna. He immediately runs towards her and hugs her. He then grows emotional, says that 14 years have gone by, and touches her feet.

Krushna also keeps some humour in the moment. He joked that he had found a parking space at her feet, and that two cars now needed parking, referring to himself and Kashmera. Kashmera, visibly emotional, then tells Ssunita, "I'm so sorry."

How Ssunita Ahuja reacted

Speaking to paparazzi after the reunion, Ssunita said the feud had ended. She said, “Haan, maine dono bachchon ko maaf kar diya hai. Ab dushmani khatam ho gayi hai (Yes, I have forgiven both children. The enmity is over now).”

“Kya karein paapi pet ke liye karna padta hai. Ab hum kaam par focus karenge (What can one do? One has to do it for the sake of this belly. Now, we will focus on our work),” she added.

How Krushna Abhishek reacted

Krushna told Hindustan Times that it was one of the most memorable episodes of Laughter Chefs 3 for him. He said the channel and the creative team had kept Ssunita's appearance a secret. According to him, neither he nor Kashmera knew she was coming, and even host Bharti did not know until it was announced. He said it came as a shock and turned into an emotional moment because they were meeting his maami after a long time.

He said the moment was especially emotional for Kashmera because, while he had seen Ssunita at events once or twice in the past, Kashmera had not even run into her for 10 years. He said it was a special moment that they would remember for life.

Krushna also spoke about his bond with Govinda and Ssunita while growing up. He said, "Ssunita maami ne mujhe bache ki tarah pala hai, badha kiya hai, main unke ghar par raha hun 8 saal. We had a joint family. Kal humari itni baatein hui hai, jo ice break hui. Jo band kamre mein hona tha wo channel ne stage pe kar diya."

Translated to: "Ssunita Maami has raised me and brought me up just like her own child. I lived at her home for eight years. We lived in a joint family. We had such a long conversation yesterday- it really broke the ice. What was meant to take place behind closed doors, the channel made happen right there on the stage."

More about their feud

The rift between Krushna and Govinda began after Govinda expressed displeasure over Krushna making jokes about him on television. Ssunita also distanced herself from Krushna and his family. Several years ago, Kashmera’s tweet about "people who dance for money" upset Ssunita, who believed it was aimed at Govinda.

The matter later escalated further. Krushna accused Govinda of not visiting his children in hospital, and Govinda called his nephew a liar. In 2024, Ssunita had also said that she would not be part of Kapil Sharma's show because Krushna and Kashmera Shah were associated with it. Even so, Krushna had continued trying to make amends in interviews over the years.
