A 65-year-old Navy veteran from Ghaziabad has transformed his life by taking up marathon running to combat diabetes. Starting his athletic journey at the age of sixty in 2021, the veteran has amassed over two hundred medals in just five years. He maintains a rigorous routine, running approximately twenty kilometres daily. His achievements include securing first place in the fifteen hundred metres, five thousand metres, and ten thousand metres races at the 2023 International Games in Dubai within the sixty-plus age category. Additionally, he holds national records in his age group for the ten-kilometre race, the half-marathon in Jabalpur, and the full marathon.
