Amarnath Yatra: Over 40,000 pilgrims visit holy cave in 5 days

The annual Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir is progressing smoothly, with over 40,000 pilgrims having visited the holy Amarnath Cave in the first five days. The J&K administration and the Amarnath Shrine Board are prioritising not only the safety and security of the pilgrims but also ensuring a clean and pollution-free pilgrimage. The Rural Sanitation Department of J&K is collaborating with an NGO from Indore, Soha, to make the yatra pollution-free and polythene-free. This initiative underscores the commitment to environmental conservation alongside religious observance.
