Karnataka BJP leader Yatnal alleges Yediyurappa involved in Rs 40,000 crore Covid scam

Karnataka BJP leader Basanagouda Patil Yatnal alleged that Rs 40,000 crore was embezzled by former CM BS Yediyurappa during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yatnal alleged, "One mask costs Rs 45. How much did Yediyurappa bill the government? He billed Rs 485. He (Yediyurappa) has looted thousands of crores of rupees. Rs 40,000 crore rupees were looted. They billed Rs 8-10 lakhs for one corona patient." 

In response to Yatnal's accusations, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that the allegations are further evidence of the BJP government operating as a "40 per cent commission government".
