PM Modi inaugurates Phase 1 of Navi Mumbai international airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the first phase of the Navi Mumbai International Airport. This project will give the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) its second major international airport, which is intended to boost commerce and connectivity. The new airport is expected to relieve the pressure on Mumbai's current airport, one of the world's busiest, by improving traffic handling. The Prime Minister, who was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, also dedicated the third phase of the Mumbai Metro.
