'Sheesh Mahal 2' pics taken from Pinterest? Atishi 'exposes' Parvesh Verma
The Sheesh Mahal controversy is back in Delhi. After BJP minister Parvesh Verma shared images from what he claimed was Arvind Kejriwal's new bungalow, the AAP alleged that the images were lifted from Pinterest.

Purported images from Arvind Kejriwal's new government bungalow, shared by the BJP and dubbed 'Sheesh Mahal 2', have become the latest flashpoint between the party and AAP. Hours after Delhi minister Parvesh Verma shared the images of Kejriwal's 95, Lodhi Estate residence at a press conference, former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi was quick to point out that the pictures were not authentic and were actually taken from Pinterest.
In a sharply worded post on X, Atishi emphasised that false claims were being made using random online images. Her tweet was in response to a post by a political commentator who pointed out the eerie similarities between the images shared by Verma and those available on Pinterest.

Pinterest is basically a photo-sharing platform that allows users to discover and share visual content.
"Today, BJP minister Parvesh Varma called the entire media to show pictures of Arvind Kejriwal's so-called new house... but the funny thing is that these pictures aren't of Kejriwal ji's house, but downloaded from 'Pinterest'!" Atishi tweeted.
Recently, Kejriwal, a two-time Delhi Chief Minister, shifted to a new Type-VII government bungalow at 95, Lodhi Estate. In 2025, the Sheesh Mahal row, where the BJP pointed to extravagant luxuries on the premises of the former CM's residence, was one of the factors that led to AAP's ouster from power in Delhi.
Atishi even had a suggestion for Verma. In a sly dig, the AAP leader said artificial intelligence (AI) could have been used instead. "Parvesh Verma ji: You could've used AI for this instead; theft doesn't get caught that quickly," she posted.
Earlier, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh warned Verma of defamation action for spreading "completely fake" images of Kejriwal's residence.
"I challenge Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Delhi Lt Governor and Parvesh Verma to open their respective houses to the public," he said.

'KEJRIWAL REHMAN DACOIT OF DELHI'
The slugfest erupted after Verma, widely seen as No 2 in the Delhi government, released fresh images of what he called 'Sheesh Mahal 2' and accused Kejriwal of living lavishly despite earlier claims of him being an aam aadmi.
He also referred to the character of Rehman Dakait in the Bollywood film Dhurandhar, and called Kejriwal the "dacoit of Delhi".
"He got a new bungalow at 95 Lodhi Estate. When the pictures of it came out, we were astonished. The man who said he would live simply today lives luxuriously," the BJP leader said.
The allegations come a day after the AAP suffered a massive setback in Delhi as Raghav Chadha, once seen as Kejriwal's blue-eyed boy, and six other AAP MPs joined the BJP on Friday.
Later in the day, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj clarified that the images were "proposed designs" of the bungalow. "The issue is not about living in luxury. The issue is double standards, falsehood, deception," she said.
