Karnataka CM Swearing-In Live Updates: Shortly after taking oath as Karnataka Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar paid obeisance to the iconic Vidhana Soudha, bowing and touching its steps before formally assuming charge of his office. Shivakumar later entered the seat of the Karnataka Legislature and Secretariat, where he paid floral tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, social reformer Basavanna and Bengaluru founder Nadaprabhu Kempegowda. Traditional drum performances marked the celebrations at Vidhana Soudha as supporters gathered in large numbers and cheered the new chief minister. Shivakumar also visited the Muneshwara Swami temple within the Vidhana Soudha premises and offered prayers. He performed puja in his official chamber before taking his seat as chief minister. Earlier, after the swearing-in ceremony, Shivakumar walked along Lok Bhavan Road, greeting people lined up on both sides. Supporters raised chants of "D K...
