Portions of building linked to NEET accused razed voluntarily after civic notice
Unauthorised portions of an under-construction building in Maharashtra's Beed were demolished voluntarily following civic body notices. The structure is situated on a piece of land where NEET paper leak accused PV Kulkarni's ancestral home once stood.

Unauthorised portions of an under-construction multi-storey building linked to PV Kulkarni, one of the accused in the NEET-UG paper leak case, in Maharashtra's Beed district were demolished voluntarily following notices from the local civic body.
The demolition was carried out shortly ahead of Beed Municipal Council's scheduled action to raze the illegal portions of the structure. The construction of the new building started after the demolition of Kulkarni's ancestral property, as part of a joint venture involving him.
However, following the Chemistry lecturer's arrest last month, the project also came under scrutiny by local officials. A municipal survey reportedly found that multiple portions of the building had been constructed in deviation from sanctioned plans.
Citing the findings, the civic body issued a notice and warned of demolition if the illegally constructed portions were not cleared out within the stipulated time.
The notice further said that the cost of removing the non-compliant portions would be recovered from the concerned parties if the municipal council had to step in to raze them.
KULKARNI HELD SECRET TUITION SESSIONS: CBI
Kulkarni was arrested by the CBI as part of the agency's NEET-UG paper leak probe on May 15. He is accused of leaking the questions and the correct answers to a group of NEET-UG aspirants at a secret coaching session arranged at his residence in Pune during the last week of April.
The students paid several lakhs of rupees to attend the session, according to the CBI. For years, Kulkarni, who is a retired college professor, was part of the panels that were involved in setting the NEET question paper.
He is one of the 13 people arrested by the CBI as part of the probe related to the cancelled National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), or NEET-UG examination, held on May 3 this year.
The medical entrance examination was cancelled by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 12 amid allegations of paper leak. A re-examination has been scheduled for June 21.
