PM MODI’S MILESTONE IN FOCUS

The meeting comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi crosses a significant political milestone, surpassing the tenure record of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, as the longest-serving elected head of government after the first general elections in 1952.

Having first assumed office on May 26, 2014, PM Modi has now completed 4,399 consecutive days at the helm, moving ahead of Nehru's tenure as the head of an elected government. While Nehru served as Prime Minister from 1947 until his death in 1964, the comparison relates specifically to the period after the first Lok Sabha elections.

A special resolution congratulating the Prime Minister is expected to be adopted during the meeting.

According to sources, the motion will be moved by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and seconded by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio before being formally endorsed by alliance leaders.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm, with all participating leaders expected to arrive by now.

Prime Minister Modi is expected to address the gathering after discussions and the adoption of the congratulatory resolution.

The conclave will not only celebrate the government's 12-year journey but also focus on strengthening coordination within the alliance and preparing for upcoming Assembly elections.

Discussions are expected on the NDA's growth and expansion over the past decade as well as strategies to further consolidate the coalition.

Several senior leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu, HD Kumaraswamy, Nitish Kumar and BJP president Nitin Nabin, are expected to address the gathering before the Prime Minister's concluding remarks.

TOP LEADERS TO ATTEND MEET

Around 75 senior leaders representing nearly 35 NDA constituent parties are expected to attend the conclave.

The participants will include chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from all 22 NDA-governed states and Union Territories, party presidents and senior alliance functionaries.

Senior BJP leaders, including Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, are also expected to participate.

Union ministers representing NDA partners, including K Ram Mohan Naidu, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, HD Kumaraswamy and Anupriya Patel, are likely to be present.

DEVELOPMENT ON AGENDA

The meeting will review national development and infrastructure programmes while discussing ways to strengthen cooperation between the Centre and states.

Leaders are expected to exchange perspectives on improving "Ease of Living", enhancing "Ease of Doing Business" and accelerating reforms aligned with the government's vision of achieving a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047.

THE ROAD AHEAD

As PM Modi begins a new chapter in his third consecutive term, the focus is expected to remain firmly on governance, welfare delivery, infrastructure expansion and long-term economic transformation.

The NDA conclave is likely to underline both the coalition's political unity and its commitment to pursuing the government's Vision 2047 roadmap, setting the tone for its next phase of governance and electoral strategy.
