Battling Covid-19: Indian vaccine by the end of 2020?

For the first time since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, India's seven-day average of daily new cases has been higher than the United States and Brazil. For one straight week, it has consistently reported more new cases each day than the other two countries.

Meanwhile, as the country witnesses a sharp spike in Covid-19 cases, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that three vaccines are being developed and tested in India to fight the novel coronavirus. They are at different stages of testing.

PM Modi further said the roadmap for the production of coronavirus vaccine and its distribution to every Indian in the least amount of time, is ready. He said the mass production of coronavirus vaccine will begin once scientists give their nod.
