BJP leader CT Ravi lashes out at Congress over population policy criticism

The BJP has now hit out at the Congress with regard to the controversy over the population policy criticism.

BJP leader and party's national general secretary said CT Ravi reminded the Congress of what they did during the emergency and infamous sterilisation drive.

"Congress should remember what they did during 1975-77. They got people forcibly operated during the emergency. They had Sanjay Gandhi and Indira Gandhi brigade. We have sought a discussion on this issue," Ravi said.

According to the UP draft bill, people having more than two children in the state will be debarred from contesting local body polls, applying for government jobs or receiving any kind of subsidy.
