In retaliation, the INDIA bloc has moved an impeachment motion against the judge, signed by 120 MPs. BJP MP Anurag Thakur condemned the state government, stating, ‘One state in India has become a symbol of anti-sanatan dharma.’ The programme also highlights the support for the judge from 50 former jurists who termed the motion a weaponization of the Constitution.
