FIR against grapplers accessed, says protest would hamper 'national heritage'

The FIR against 12 protesting wrestlers, including grapplers Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia for taking out a march to the new Parliament building, mentioning that their protest would hamper "national prestige".
The FIR was registered after grapplers were detained on Sunday while they were marching towards the new Parliament building.
The ace athletes have been protesting against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Singh, who is accused of sexual assault allegations, including that of a minor wrestler. The WFI chief is a BJP MP from UP's Kaiserganj.
The protesters began their second leg of demonstrations on April 23 and they took to the streets near Jantar Mantar.
