Indian Air Force successfully test-fires extended range version of BrahMos missile

The Indian Air Force today successfully test-fired the extended range version of BrahMos cruise missile from a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter jet. The missile can hit targets at a range of around 400 km.

According to Defence officials, after being launched from a Su-30 fighter aircraft, the missile hit the target ship in centre. This was the test of the anti-ship version of the air launched version of the missile.
