Punjab Congress infighting: Navjot Sidhu again takes potshot at Amarinder Singh

The strained truce between Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh and newly-anointed PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu frayed further when the latter threatened to bring out a resolution in the state assembly to cancel power purchase agreements with private companies. Sidhu has also demanded that sealed reports submitted to the High Court pertaining to the synthetic drug case should be made public.

The cricketer-turned-politician’s statements against the Congress-led government in Punjab have once again left the party high command worried. Sources close to the party say that Sonia Gandhi has advised both Amarinder Singh and Navjot Sidhu to work together.
