PM Modi's Pledge On Unity Day: We Will Drive Every Single Infiltrator Out Of India

In a powerful address from Ekta Nagar on Rashtriya Ekta Divas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tackled critical issues of internal security, illegal infiltration, and what he termed the Congress party's divisive legacy. He asserted that 'the day Congress decided to break, cut, and divide Vande Mataram, on that very day, Congress laid the foundation for the partition of India.' The Prime Minister declared that the number of districts seriously affected by Naxalism has been drastically reduced and pledged to completely free India from the menace. He announced a decisive battle against infiltrators, accusing them of seizing resources and causing demographic imbalance, and vowed to expel every single one from the country. Modi also accused previous Congress governments of fostering 'political untouchability' and deliberately disrespecting national icons like Sardar Patel, B.R. Ambedkar, and Subhas Chandra Bose.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
