Smriti Irani lashes out at Gandhis, questions their silence on Kamal Nath's 'item' jibe

After a massive controversy over Kamal Nath's 'item" jibe at BJP woman MLA candidate, Union minister Smriti Irani has lashed out at the Gandhis. She said why are they silent on an insult to a woman leader.

On Sunday, while addressing a poll meeting in Gwalior's Dabra town ahead of the by-elections in the state, Kamal Nath said his party candidate in the region was a "simple person" unlike the opponent who is an "item".

Even after facing criticism, Kamal Nath has maintained that he did not make the remark as a sign of disrespect.
