The orgy of violence that rocked Gujarat last fortnight has left a bloody trail of 10 people dead in Ahmedabad alone and scores others injured. Hundreds of buses were damaged in stone throwing incidents, flaming road blocks were set up by hooligans using furniture from nearby banks and offices, and bus stands and milk booths were completely smashed and set on fire. The army had to be called in to maintain law and order.
