Practice and hardwork are most important factors in achieving sucess, says Amish Tripathi

Author Amish Tripathi speaks on How to Start Your Own Business at India Today Mind Rocks Youth Summit in New Delhi on September 21, 2013.

"I do not have too many experiences when it comes to romance, one-night stands, breakups. So I couldn't have written a love story." said Amish Tripathi.

On spirituality he said, "Not everyone is capable of understanding the formless concept of God. They need symbols and idols and avatars are nothing but symbolic representation of that one supreme God. So there is no harm in idol worship."

Amish added that there is no dishonour in doing a mundane job, working for money. Job lets you pay your bills, fulfill your responsibilty. You can pursue your dreams, while doing your regular job. But you have to cut down on other social acyivities, like hanging out with friends, watching movies etc.

Rituals should not be blindly followed. But that doesn't mean all rituals are useless and make no sense. There are scientific explanations behind most rituals, even if they are not relevant in today's time. One needs to understand the science behind a ritual, said Amish.
