Kangana's Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata trailer packs terror and survival in 26/11 story

The makers of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata released the film's trailer on Tuesday. Starring Kangana Ranaut and Girija Oak, the upcoming drama pays tribute to the nurses and medical staff of Mumbai's Cama and Albless Hospital, who risked their lives to protect hundreds of patients during the 26/11 terror attacks.

Directed and written by Manoj Tapadia, the film is set against the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and features Kangana Ranaut in a lead role.

The two-minute-and-24-second trailer opens with gunshots, police sirens and news coverage of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. It then shifts focus to the everyday lives of nurses working at the hospital before tragedy strikes, changing everything around them.

As the attack unfolds, Kangana's character is seen putting her own safety at risk to save patients trapped inside the hospital. The trailer highlights the courage, resilience and selflessness displayed by healthcare workers in the face of extreme danger.

The film aims to shine a light on the often-overlooked contributions of nurses, showcasing how their dedication becomes even more critical during moments of crisis. It also honours the medical staff who reportedly safeguarded around 400 patients during the attacks.

Apart from Kangana and Girija Oak, the cast includes Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Agashe, Aditya Mishra and Zahid Khan in key roles.

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is scheduled to release in theatres on June 12. The film will clash at the box office with Main Vaapas Aaunga and Governor: The Silent Saviour.
