Didn't eat a mountain: Patralekhaa blasts paps for body-shaming in viral video
Actor Patralekhaa has strongly reacted to a viral video by a paps account that commented on her postpartum body. Calling out the paparazzi for insensitivity, she shared a note urging more understanding of how women's bodies change after childbirth.

Actor Patralekhaa on Friday lashed out at paparazzi for commenting on her postpartum body in a viral video. The backlash came after a paparazzo page shared a clip captioned, "What's happened to her?", showing the actor stepping out of her car and walking into her building, with her husband, Rajkummar Rao, following behind.
In a note posted on her Instagram Stories, Patralekhaa criticised the paps for body-shaming her with a sensational caption. She explained how a woman's body changes after childbirth and urged people to be more compassionate.
"What's happened to me!? is that I have just give birth! Yes I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all (sic)," she wrote, adding that while she wished her body had not reacted this way to pregnancy, she is learning to accept the reality. The actor, who also produced the Netflix film Toaster, emphasised that her weight gain is not due to overeating but a "natural phenomenon."
Her full note read:
"Pap pages! What's happened to me!? is that I have just give birth! Yes I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs. If I could I would not be this way. But that's how my body has reacted to pregnancy. For God's sake please learn to be a little kind (sic)."
Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao welcomed their first child, a daughter, on November 15, 2025. They named her Parvati Paul Rao after Rao's late mother.
Earlier, several celebrities, including Neha Dhupia, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Anurag Kashyap, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Ayesha Khan, Sonam Bajwa, Jackie Shroff, and Ranbir Kapoor, among others, have called out paparazzi for inappropriate behaviour towards them or their families.
