Mouni Roy shares post for 'little sister' Disha Patani, deletes it later
Mouni Roy called Disha Patani her "little sister" in a post that she later deleted. The timing drew attention because Disha had recently faced trolling over rumours surrounding Mouni's split from Suraj Nambiar.

Actors Mouni Roy and Disha Patani’s friendship is back in the spotlight, this time because of a deleted Instagram post that quickly caught the internet’s attention.
On Tuesday, Mouni shared a glamorous picture with Disha on social media and referred to her as her “little sister” in the caption. The actor later deleted the post, but not before screenshots began circulating online, especially amid ongoing chatter around Mouni’s separation from businessman Suraj Nambiar.
In the now-deleted post, Mouni wrote, “Missing my lil sister! Come back soon x @dishapatani (sic).”

While the reason behind deleting the post remains unclear, its timing raised eyebrows online because Disha had recently found herself at the centre of trolling linked to speculation around Mouni and Suraj’s relationship.
In the picture, Mouni posed in a black cut-out mini outfit paired with sneakers, while Disha kept it sporty and casual in a white sports bra, oversized denims and a white cap.
The post was also shared on Reddit.
For fans who follow their social media closely, the two actors have long shared a visibly close bond. From luxury holidays abroad to stylish photoshoots and party appearances, Mouni and Disha are often seen together online and off it.
Their friendship, however, recently became the subject of unwanted speculation after several social media users baselessly accused Disha of being responsible for the reported rift between Mouni and Suraj. Following the backlash, Disha reportedly disabled comments on some of her social media posts after receiving hate messages from the internet.
Suraj Nambiar issues clarification
On May 18, Suraj addressed the rumours publicly and firmly denied all speculation surrounding their separation.
“Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved,” he wrote on social media.
He added, “Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other’s well-being. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone.”

Suraj also requested people not to drag “innocent friends” into the matter. “There is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this,” he said.
Calling out media speculation, he added that several narratives had been published “without a shred of verification”.
On May 14, Mouni confirmed her separation from Suraj amid ongoing speculation surrounding their marriage. In a joint statement shared on social media, she expressed disappointment over the “unnecessary and intrusive attention” on their personal lives and revealed that they had decided to part ways.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar got married in Goa on January 27, 2022.
