Zanai remembers grandmother Asha Bhosle with rare pics: You are missed every second

Zanai Bhosle is mourning the loss of her grandmother, singer Asha Bhosle, and has been sharing emotional posts on social media since her death in April 12. She has been posting old pictures and personal notes remembering her grandmother, whom she called the “love of her life.”

On Saturday (April 18) evening, she shared another post on Instagram with photos and a message about how the family is coping with the loss.

One of the photos shows Asha Bhosle singing with her son Anand and granddaughter Zanai. Another shows her hugging Zanai, while a third shows her holding a plate of diyas during a Diwali celebration.

In her caption, Zanai wrote: "After a lot of reflection, I realise you taught us how to live, but not how to live without you. You are missed every second, every hour, every minute with every breath we take, but I also know that you live within me. Till I hold you in my arms again this way (sic)."

Asha Bhosle died on Sunday, April 12, due to multiple organ failure. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital earlier this month after a chest infection and severe fatigue.

Her last rites were performed on April 13 and were attended by family members and several public figures including Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Sachin Tendulkar, Tabu, and Jackie Shroff.

She was later cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Political leaders and members of the public also attended to pay their respects.

Tributes continue to be shared on social media as family members, including Zanai, remember her through posts and photos.
