In an exclusive interview with indiatoday.tech, Akshay Oberoi spoke about the experience of working and dancing with his 'idol', Hrithik Roshan. He also opened up about the challenges he faced while shooting for the aerial action sequences and even called Siddharth Anand 'the Steven Spielberg of India'. Not only that, Akshay also shared his take on the criticism that 'Fighter' has been facing. It has been labelled by many as an 'anti-Pakistan' and jingoistic film.

Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
