Fan falls at Jr NTR's feet, actor turns awkward moment into viral win. Watch

A visit to Hyderabad’s NTR Ghat turned momentarily chaotic for Tollywood star Jr NTR on Thursday after a fan fell on his feet while trying to greet him amid heavy crowd. A video from the venue, now circulating online, showed the actor pausing to help the fan back on his feet before shaking his hand.

Jr NTR had visited the memorial to mark the 103rd birth anniversary of his grandfather, legendary actor-politician N T Rama Rao. The actor arrived at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on the morning of May 28 to offer floral tributes in the presence of supporters and party workers.

In one of the visuals from the visit, a fan is seen stretching out his hand towards the actor before falling at the Dragon actor's feet. As security personnel attempted to pull the fan away, Jr NTR stepped in, helped him regain balance and briefly interacted with him before moving ahead.

Several videos and photographs from the memorial visit surfaced on social media, showing the actor greeting fans and paying his respects at the site decorated with flowers and surrounded by supporters.

NT Rama Rao acted in over 300 films before founding the Telugu Desam Party and serving as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He continues to remain a defining figure in both Telugu cultural and political history.

Jr NTR and his brother, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, visit NTR Ghat every year to pay tribute to their grandfather.

On the work front, Jr NTR will next be seen in director Prashanth Neel’s upcoming action drama, Dragon. A glimpse of the film was unveiled recently ahead of the actor’s birthday on May 20.

Set against the backdrop of the 1967 opium trade and an escalating global drug war, the teaser introduces Jr NTR as Luger, the Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Rukmini Vasanth and Biju Menon.

Dragon is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in June 2027.
