The development comes at a time when Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros, directed by Savin SA, is continuing its strong theatrical run. Headlined by Hashir, Alan, Vinayak and Ajin, the film has emerged as a major commercial success, reportedly crossing Rs 163.50 crore worldwide within 10 days of its release. Of this, Rs 89.75 crore comes from India gross, while Rs 73.75 crore has been contributed by overseas markets. The film’s India nett (gross minus taxes) collection currently stands at Rs 77.50 crore.

With these numbers, Vaazha 2 has now become the sixth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time, surpassing Prithviraj Sukumaran’s The Goat Life aka Aadujeevitham, which had a lifetime gross of around Rs 158.50 crore. The film now joins the list of major Malayalam blockbusters, underlining the industry’s strong box office phase.

Here's the trailer:

The franchise began with Anand Menen’s 2024 hit Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, which featured Joemon Jyothir, Siju Sunny, Amith Mohan Rajeswari, Anuraj O B, Saafboi and Anshid Anu.

The success of the second instalment has further strengthened the franchise’s popularity, driven largely by relatable storytelling.
